We are passionate about the outdoors and 4wding exploring the best back yard and love to work with people to build their adventure on accessory at a time. We use the gear we sell so that we can tell you what we think and how it works in the real world. Working with top quality brands so you can go back country or to work knowing your gear is going to last.
We're not a big corporate chain store. We are a local, owner operated team of adventurist, overlanders, campers and mudders who are passionate about exploring the best of NZs backyard. We proudly keep things personal and real. We love to see our customers do the same and working with them to build their kit one adventure at a time.
The Man That Started It All

Shanon started 4x4 Offroad Solutions out of love of 4wding and the outdoors and posing for the odd photo. Building the foundations for the business it is today alongside being a husband and father to 2 daughters. Bringing on brands such as Ironman 4x4, Maxtrax, and bringing the re-nouned Mits Alloy to New Zealand, meaning 4x4 Offroad is able to supply quality products in the New Zealand market.
The One Who Loves A Yarn

Kerry joined the team in early 2023 after working with Shanon one some builds during his time at Dunedin City Ford. When the opportunity arose he jumped at the chance to combine his hobby with work. A Husband and father of a a boy and and girl, he loves getting out back country camping and 4wding. He loves working though builds and having a good old yarn. Kerry will be the main face you see when visiting the shop and had help bring brands to Dunedin such as Alu-Cab and, Skotti and Dometic.
